I’m delighted to share my latest article recently published in the International Journal of Art & Design Education (JADE) - “Arts Education in the Third Space: Creative Journeys towards Critical Consciousness and Social Transformation”. Drawing from my work in arts education and community organising at Arts Education Exchange, it unpacks how creative spaces foster deeper awareness and change.

The article examines “third space” arts education, hybrid zones beyond traditional classrooms where diverse voices co-create critical consciousness and social change.​ It on Homi Bhabha’s third space theory, applied to participatory arts practices that bridge personal creativity with collective action.​ I embed case studies showing journeys from individual expression to communal transformation, revealing evidence of heightened critical thinking, empathy, and agency - vital for social justice in arts education.
